The epilogue of Beyond The Wall features the Booey Lehoo Concert in Beijing.
In December 2011, US and Chinese performers came together at the National Indoor Stadium for a concert to raise awareness of APSA and the benefits of bringing US kids to study in China.
Backed by 100,000 Strong Foundation, the concert featured will.i.am and apl.de.ap of the Black-Eyed Peas, John Legend and Chinese stars Sa DingDing, Shunza and Coco Lee and was the culmination of a week-long ArtsFest celebrating US-Chinese cultural exchanges across a wide range of activities.
Jeffrey, Royelle and Juanique were among a group of APSA alumni who were flown back for the ArtsFest week and Booey Lehoo concert. In the lead up to the concert, they participated in different activities including dance and music events, meeting Jackie Chan at the Beijing Film Studios, and a reception at the US Ambassador’s residence. Jeffrey also got to watch the filming of Marquese Scott’s Dubstep on the Great Wall, which has over 11 million views on YouTube.
At the concert itself, they met all the stars backstage and joined them to dance onstage for the finale number of the Black-Eyed Peas song “I’ve Gotta Feeling”.
